1. Who we are
Chiron Data Consulting Ltd ("Chiron", "we", "our") is the data controller for personal information handled through this website and our business enquiries. You can contact us at [email protected].
Registered office: C/O Fma Online Ltd, Building 3 Chiswick Business Park, 566 Chiswick High Road, London, England, W4 5YA.
2. Information we collect
When you submit an enquiry or email us, we receive your name, email address, the service topic you select, and the content of your message. We may also receive information you choose to provide in subsequent correspondence, including your organisation's name.
Our website infrastructure may process technical and security information, such as IP addresses and browser or request details, to deliver and protect the site. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information through the form.
3. What we use it for and our lawful bases
We use enquiries to respond to you, discuss consultancy or training services, provide requested information and, where relevant, prepare proposals. For routine business enquiries, we generally rely on our legitimate interests in handling relevant business correspondence. Where the enquiry directly concerns steps toward a contract with you as an individual, pre-contractual necessity may apply. We may also retain certain records to meet legal obligations.
We use limited site-operation and security information to protect and maintain the website, generally relying on our legitimate interests in operating a secure service. We do not automatically add enquiry contacts to a marketing mailing list or sell their details.
4. Providers and recipients
We use Cloudflare to host, deliver and protect the website; Formspree to receive contact-form submissions and send notifications; Spaceship/Spacemail for our business mailbox; and Microsoft Outlook/Hotmail for forwarded copies of business correspondence. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive technical connection information such as an IP address. These services handle information under their respective terms and roles. We may also share information with professional advisers or authorities when necessary and lawful.
5. International processing
Some providers or their subprocessors may handle information outside the UK. Where an international transfer is subject to UK GDPR restricted-transfer rules, we seek to rely on an applicable UK adequacy arrangement or other appropriate safeguard. The relevant destinations and arrangements differ by provider and can change; you can ask us for information about the safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
6. How long we keep enquiries
Where an enquiry does not become a customer relationship, our normal policy is to keep related correspondence for no longer than 12 months after the last meaningful exchange, unless a legal, dispute-resolution or other justified need requires longer retention. If you become a client, records relevant to our services, contracts and legal duties may be kept for longer under an appropriate retention schedule. We review retained copies in both our business and forwarded mailboxes.
Our form provider has its own submission-history availability period and technical backup practices; these are not the same as our email retention arrangements.
7. Cookies, technical services and analytics
This website does not intentionally set advertising or marketing cookies. Cloudflare may use necessary security technologies to protect the site. We also load a third-party web font. The form is sent to Formspree when you submit it.
We may use privacy-focused Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate usage and improve the site; it does not use traditional analytics cookies. If optional tracking or storage technologies are added in future, we will review whether consent or an objection mechanism is required and update this notice and website controls accordingly.
8. Your rights
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you may ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact [email protected] to exercise your rights. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
9. Changes
We may update this notice when our website, providers or practices change. The latest version will be published here with its update date.
This notice covers the website and general business enquiries, not every form of data processing that may occur under a separate client contract.
